BIRTH VISION
With Riga
Forbes
Birth Vision
is a unique birth preparation course that develops self-confidence, birthing
skills, creativity, well-being and a deeper connection to the process of
pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
The course
itself is spread out over 6 sessions and each one provides the space to engage
with a different aspect of inner nourishment and support as well as learning practical
techniques to prepare for birth.
Each session
incorporates a rhythm of activity and rest which are explored through dance,
breathing and meditation, vocal-toning and painting. Together these work to bring
about an all-round sense of deep relaxation and well-being to body, mind and
heart.
Through
providing a space to share our stories, Birth Vision also creates a trusting group
environment where supportive friendships can be made. The feeling of sisterhood that this can bring enriches the journey of motherhood for both new mums and for those
with children already.
The approach
we take in Birth Vision is that a mother’s greatest gift is her ability to
listen to herself. She can learn methods to develop this further but
essentially it is she who holds the key to understanding her body, her birthing
experience and her baby.
And she is always supported to step into her own sense of empowerment and inner-freedom to do this.
And she is always supported to step into her own sense of empowerment and inner-freedom to do this.

“Taking time to relax and to move has been great. It has given me time to calm my mind and become more in touch with my body… All women should have the chance to gather in a relaxed place where they can explore the coming birth and their emotions”
(Sarah Simonet)

Beautiful, powerful & insightful. Most importantly, this is the essential work of women for the rebalancing and healing of the planet. Thank you for the gifts you share Riga. Is this part of your book? love Abhijeeta
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful view of womanhood across the centuries, and more, and the pressuring of feminine culture to relinquish its power and submit to the 'safer' masculine - safer for what? It brings together facts that most of us (I speak for men) never imagined and offers a powerful synthesis for women, and men, going forward. Any woman who reads this for the first time must feel a sense of deprivation and a desire to face up the past and support the female in finding freedom of expression beyond the repression of straightjacket education and the elegant disguises of the fashion industry.
ReplyDeleteStill enjoying this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wise woman!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to follow you.
ReplyDeleteA beautifully written exploration of the feminine. I was inspired to learn about Bleeding Lodges.. if we could come closer somehow to honouring womens' monthly cycles here in Western culture, the shift in our daughter's self-perception could be wonderful! Thank you Riga. Love Andi xx
ReplyDeleteI love your commitment to supporting women in finding their empowered place within themselves. You are a true inspiration. You shine your light and walk the path in truth and love. In gratitude. Alexandra, Bristol
